Review Step #

General Behavior #

  • Users are presented with a summary of their current investment, including all information provided during the investment process.
  • All information is editable before confirming the investment. To edit, users should click on the step name, which does not affect progress in other steps.
  • Users can return to any previous step to make changes, even if that step was already submitted.
  • Any modifications to the already submitted Amount and Ownership steps will necessitate revisiting the ‘Signatures’ step to re-check all checkboxes and re-sign/review the document(s).
  • An investment can be canceled by the user, updating its status to CANCELED DURING INVESTMENT BY INVESTOR and erasing all progress up to that point.

Success Cases #

  • Shares are booked. The number of the offer’s subscribed_shares is increased with N of shares of the investment.
  • The investment status is updated to CONFIRMED until accreditation is approved by NC (upon approval, the Investment status updates to LEGALLY CONFIRMED). If accreditation and KYC were approved before REVIEW step submittion, the investment status is updated to LEGALLY CONFIRMED right away.
  • Users are directed to a ‘Thank You’ screen, which displays the investment ID.
  • A newly confirmed investment appears in the Portfolio section, with its status shown as ‘Confirmed’ or ‘Legally Confirmed’.
  • A trade is created in North Capital. Shares are booked on NC end. The number of the offer’s sconfirmed_shares is increased with N of shares of the investment.
  • Once the investment in LEGALLY CONFIRMED status, transfer is created:
    • If ‘Wallet’ is chosen as the payment method and there is a pending load funds transaction intended to partially or fully cover the investment, the Dwolla transfer will not be created until the transaction is processed and funds are settled in the user’s wallet.

Fail Cases During Verification from NC #

  • Failures during verification by NC after investment do not impact the confirmation of the investment by the investor.
  • The payment attempt is invalid, or the user did not send a wire transfer.
  • Any documents (accreditations/agreement docs) completed and signed by the user are rejected by North Capital (after the investment is submitted) due to incorrect or invalid data (e.g., incorrect SSN). The user is prompted to re-upload accreditation documents (up to 6) in accrediation form of the user area.

Thank you page #

  • Investor is redirected on this page right after investment is successfully submitted. It contains link to offer page, investment ID, short summary of investment, and link to investment details/timeline in portfolio.
  • (TBD) SDIRA investment has custom Thank you page with a button which opens to the appropriate custodian website to continue investment on custodian end. In case of ALTO - it redirects to ALTO platform with data about offer sent previously and data about investment. If not alto - the process is manual.
