Investment cancellation process. User Perspective #

  1. Investors can cancel the investment during the investment process (before submission). Its status will change to CANCELED DURING INVESTMENT BY INVESTOR. After cancellation, the investment will no longer be available to the user. To invest in the same offer again, a new investment must be initiated from the beginning.
  2. Investors can also cancel the investment from the Portfolio by using the “Cancel Investment” button after successful submission, until the offer is 100% funded or legally closed/successfully closed. Once the offer is funded, cancellation requests can only be made by contacting support. Investments in successfully closed offers cannot be canceled.
  3. To request investment cancellation from the Portfolio, users should navigate to the investment details on the Portfolio tab, click Cancel Investment button and complete the form with the cancellation reason. Other important information is represented on the form - investment ID, investment amount, and offer name.
  4. The investment cancellation request may then be approved or declined by an admin:
    • If declined:
      the investment will reappear in the Portfolio with the same status it had when the cancellation was requested.
    • If approved:
      the investment will no longer be visible to the investor.
  5. Cancel investment button is hidden on the user end when:
    • 100% subscription of offer
    • offer in legally closed/successfully closed statuses
